WOOLAVINGTON WI MEETING REPORT APRIL 2019
The guest speaker at our April meeting was Hayley Partridge from Feel Better Days Day Spa in Bridgwater. Hayley gave a fun and interesting talk and demonstration on making the most of simple household and reasonably priced beauty items to support an easy to follow home beauty regime. She made a simple hand and body scrub using demerara sugar and Aloe Vera gel to gently exfoliate and soften skin – Teresa volunteered for this one and received a soothing hand massage. She also demonstrated how a sock filled with oats and honey could be used in the bath to relieve dry skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. Other top tips were to use simple baby powder as dry shampoo and the hull from a strawberry as a natural teeth whitener. At the end of the demonstration members had the opportunity to try out the body scrub so we all left with beautifully soft hands!
Our members also had an opportunity to demonstrate their creative skills in the Easter Bonnet competition.
